HOW MUST BE GENERATOR EGZOST SYSTEM ?

Home  →  F.A.Q.

The purpose of the engine exhaust system is to move the exhaust smoke out of the room and reduce noise so as not to cause danger or disturbance. To reduce the noise level of the engine, a suitable exhaust silencer must be installed in the exhaust pipe.

WARNINGS!
Inhalation of engine exhaust gas is dangerous. The gasses of all generators in enclosed spaces must be thrown out of the room with leakproof pipes in accordance with the standards.
Keep the hot exhaust muffler and exhaust hose away from flammable materials and ensure that the personnel are kept safely.
When designing the exhaust system, care must be taken that the back pressure does not exceed the back pressure value allowed by the engine manufacturer. Excessive back pressure causes the motor to be damaged. To reduce back pressure, the exhaust pipes should be as short and straight as possible. Each required elbow must have a curve at least 1.5 times the inner diameter of the pipe. The use of 1 inch larger pipe per 6 m or 3 bends will be suitable for reducing the exhaust back pressure.
A flexible connection must be used between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe system for expansion to prevent engine vibrations from being transmitted to the exhaust pipe system and to the occupant. The weight of the exhaust pipes should be supported by peripheral structures (especially from ceiling) to avoid weighting on the engine manifold and turbocharger outlet. The weight of the exhaust system should be given to the building.
Parts of the exhaust system located in the generator room must be isolated to reduce noise level and radiating heat. Muffler and exhaust pipes should be located away from flammable materials.
Clapper type counterweight rain gates can be used in various applications to prevent rain from entering the open exhaust outlet.
Each generator must have its own exhaust system. The exhaust outlets of the generators can not be combined using a single exhaust pipe.
The exhaust material must be of metal pipe.
